Dear Church Family and Friends,
Just over twelve years ago, our church family enthusiastically affirmed the construction of our $3.5 million Ministry Activities Center. And so, the church’s long held dream of a comprehensive ministry facility officially began. Through the years, we made our pledges, gave generously, ceremonially broke ground, and in 2009, we occupied our beautiful building.
But we are not done yet! Our mortgage is now under $1 million, and I believe the time has come to make the last push to retire this debt. I am asking that we prayerfully commit to a final, three year capital campaign for this purpose. This means we will have fully paid our twenty year mortgage in fifteen years! Imagine the opportunities for even greater ministry and mission once the final payment is made. We are calling it, “Get It Done in ’21.”
Enclosed, you will find a pledge card for this goal. Please commit to praying for this task; asking the Lord to guide you in your commitment. From its inception, this project has never been solely about a structure, but about the stewardship of resources for reaching others for Christ. Consider what has already been accomplished and imagine what is yet to be done.
On Sunday morning, October 28, 2018, we will return our pledge cards and celebrate the home stretch. Please mark your calendar and plan on being with us on this day of celebration. If you are unable to be with us on this day, please find enclosed a stamped envelope to return your card.
Having had the privilege of serving as your pastor over the past eighteen years, I have witnessed the generosity of God in our midst. Therefore, with unified commitment and God’s continued guidance, I believe that we are more than capable in both faith and finances to achieve this goal. Let’s get it done in ’21!
