October Generosity Box

Family Promise helps local communities coordinate their compassion to address the root causes of family homelessness. We address the issue holistically, providing shelter and case management when families become homeless, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing to ensure they remain independent. We tap existing local resources to empower families towards economic stability. Families come to us in crisis; we help them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support.

GCBC has been in partnership with Family Promise since 2014 providing shelter four times per year as families transition into permanent housing. Volunteers stay overnight with the families and help prepare and serve meals for them each evening. If you want to volunteer, contact Judy Edgell, our GCBC liaison at jbargeredgell@gmail.com
