Rev. Melissa A Fox, Associate Pastor for Worship and Spirituality, is a native of Arkansas, graduating from the University of Arkansas in 1984 with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism/Magazine Photography. She attended Midwestern Baptist Seminary in Kansas City and graduated with a Masters degree in Church Music with a minor in Vocal Performance. Her life has always been filled with music whether private lessons on flute and piano, or trying her skills at the saxophone, handbells, timpani and organ. Her first love is singing. She is married to David, having just celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary. She has served churches in Arkansas, Missouri and Virginia since 1982. Her calling and passion is to help God’s people find their voice or talent and offer it to God in worship as a way of life. In June 2020, Melissa completed her certification as a Spiritual Director. Along with empowering others in a life of worship, Melissa offers individual and group spiritual direction, a listening ministry that helps recognize the work of God in our lives and go deeper into our prayer life.
